Working On It

Moved to FL with my partner not too long ago.  The house is new(ish).  The moving process has been bumpy but it's coming along.  Overall, it's been okay but not a joyride.

Is moving ever fun?  For most people, probably not, so I'm in the majority more than likely with this scenario but we're getting the house in order and getting acclimated to our new surroundings.  Very pretty here and a nice community of folks.

There will be more Max stories coming--don't you worry!--and some of the story/other characters structuring for the forthcoming material was revised which is one reason why things are taking so long with the next one.

Blue Skies and Palm Trees

My partner is retiring at the end of the summer and......we're going to be moving to Florida!  I'm excited for the big change.  I'm sure that there will be plenty of bottoms to look at down there!

Appreciation

I was walking the dog to go get coffee a couple of days ago and I saw that someone wrote (painted?  I'm not sure how it was written on the brick--maybe it's chalk?  hopefully) this on the side of a building near the café.  I'm not a proponent of people defacing property but this graffiti made me chuckle as you can imagine.

If you haven't gotten it yet, get it!  It's now available through Barnes and Noble as well as Smashwords and (soon) other outlets as well.  "Maximum Buns" has a page on Goodreads now too.  As I mentioned in another post, this whole e-publishing thing is new to me and I'll try to make notes and keep up-to-date as much as possible as the books become available via different platforms for every kind of electronic device imaginable.

The second e-book coming up, "Optimum Buns", will be here before you know it and will be even better than the first book.  The new secondary character, Vince, is.....just as boner-inducing as Max is.  They're different from each other but a lot of you guys might end up liking him just as much (possibly more?) than the Max character.  I just have to make sure that Vince doesn't hijack the Buns books entirely.  Max and Vince will be the central, main characters of the books and will be sharing the stage (literally) as the series goes along.  Two different types of guys with very different perspectives and personalities.  I have an outline as to where the storylines will be heading and I'm really liking the directions that Mr. Gregg, Kara, Carlo, Jeff, and (the thoroughly pitiful as you will see) Evan are going towards.  Mr. Gregg is surprisingly vulnerable and Kara will explain herself more as the series moves forward (I respect her character a lot).

I will be updating the Main Characters page a little bit here and there from time to time, especially as more of the Buns series books are released.

A very special "thank you" to S.O. for doing the illustrations for this series.  He was also generous enough to do a profile illustration of me (we're old friends) for my Smashwords page and it gets to the point I think!

I hope to keep him onboard until the last book so that the cover styles stay consistent.  I think that the tone of his work meshes perfectly with the Max stories!  If I bribe him with a Thai food dinner once or twice a month, I have a feeling that he won't vanish on me.  Again, thank you, S.O. for contributing your talent to the book covers.

I was hoping to have "Optimum Buns" available by the end of July but, let's face it, August is a lot more realistic.

Good, Dirty Fun

The Buns stories are simply written to be enjoyed.  They're only fictional, erotic dream tales and they're meant to be good, dirty, naughty fun!

Don't take them too seriously.  They're too ridiculous to be taken seriously.

Some of the rougher moments in the stories are included because the narratives are kinky fantasies:  not realities nor recommendations.  Reality exists in its own space and fantasy exists in its own space.  There must be room for both reality and fantasy.....and the ability to differentiate between those two realms.  Tom of Finland would agree with me and the Marquis de Sade would agree as well!  But, I have to admit, I'll never go as far down the routes that the Marquis went down.  I feel comfortable staying within certain confines of storytelling!  Yikes! 

Tom of Finland is a huge influence on the Max stories.

I don't see the full stories--the Max stories as novellas--to be a contradiction to the quick, bite-sized nature of raunchy erotica.  If anything, I believe that they compliment each other.  Fleshing-out the story backgrounds and characters a bit is meant to illuminate what the characters are going through and to get to the heart of the point of the Max/Buns stories.

The Max/Buns stories are about:

1.) people coping with their bodies and sexualities

2.) characters coming to terms with their fantasies and the fantasies of others

3.) adults learning how to navigate through the complexities of erotic relationships with each other

So, yes, the Max/Buns stories are indulgent, absurdist, silly, erotic stories...…..but they're about other, more serious things than homoerotic ass fetishization.  Yet I want to make sure that the books stay thoroughly entertaining, humorous, and enticing and not allow the subversive, serious aspects of the narratives to be heavy-handed.

Max:  21-years-old.  Extremely hot.  Blonde, tan, blue-eyed, all-American hunk.  Looks like a model out of an Abercrombie and Fitch advertisement.  Perfect face, 6"1', muscular, fit jock.  Huge, juicy, plump bubble ass that's out of this world and gets him a ton of attention from both men and women.  Married young to his wife Kara but can be bi-curious.  Has a very serious submissive side.  Works as a personal trainer, goes to college part-time, and also works at a North Carolina amusement park--Fantasy Point--where he plays a superhero called Captain Fantasy.  Nice guy but has an ego.  Not dumb but not too bright either.  A regular, cocky, young guy wrapped in the body of a sex god.  It's easy to imagine him like THIS.

Vince:  23-years-old.  Insanely good-looking and knows it.  Dark brown hair, pale skin, bright green eyes, gorgeous face.  Franco-Italian ancestry.  Rich brat with an insufferable ego and a bad attitude.  Dad is a wealthy playboy, mom used to be a swimsuit pinup.  Both parents are pretty irresponsible which explains a lot of Vince's bad attitude.  5'9" in height, sexy-fit body, tattoos.  Despite his trim waist, he's got a bulbous, round, luscious pair of butt cheeks that bulge out behind him.  He used to be part of a singing group that had a little bit of popularity for a while a few years back, but the talent just wasn't there.  A player, a partier, and a fuckboy.  Leans towards the ladies but secretly questions himself.  Now works as a performer at Fantasy Point and has a manager named Evan.  He uses his big, glorious ass for attention and to get what he wants.  Manipulative.

Mr. Gregg:  the ultra-wealthy, powerful, intense, 58-year-old CEO of Fantasy Point Amusement Park.  Married to a woman, has daughters, but is secretly gay.  His father was Irish, his mother was African-American.  Handsome man, toned body, piercing eyes, salt-and-pepper hair, fantastic dresser.  Tough and intimidating.

Evan:  Vince's manager.  Average height.  Average body, slightly doughy.  46-years-old.  His hair is mostly gray now, prematurely.  Decent-looking white guy but no movie star.  High-strung and business-oriented.  Usually stressing over one thing or another.  Gay, out, but doesn't talk about it.  Doesn't appreciate Vince's personality and work ethic but has extreme lust for him physically.

Kara:  Max's wife.  22-years-old.  Very pretty, sporty, has a rockin' body.  Sweet personality, good sense of humor.  Chestnut-colored hair.  Regular girl, loves yoga and TV, works at a bank.  Loves her sexy husband Max and loves his massive booty.

Jenny:  Mr. Gregg's secretary.  Eccentric, fashionable, soft-spoken, and kind.  Full-figured, early 40's, cute, fun, and magnetic.  

Blake:  (Spoiler Alert) the man Max thought was his dad.......Blake is skinny, short, nerdy, and 65-years-old.  Quiet guy.  Has tried contact lenses but prefers glasses.  Retired teacher.  Collects stamps and miniature train sets.

Raymond:  Concierge at Fantasy Point Hotel.  In his 60's, thin, bitchy gay guy.  Stylish, quick-tempered, clever. 

Carlo:  #1 engineer and creative director at Fantasy Point Amusement Park.  Extremely creative, innovative, and smart.  Mr. Gregg realizes how irreplaceable Carlo is so he makes sure that he's well-paid.  Tall, attractive, swarthy, jolly, burly, masculine, single "Daddy Bear" as he's described by all of his friends.  Gay.  51-years-old but looks much younger due to a healthy lifestyle and sharp clothing.  He puts his technical expertise to use at home by creating machinery built for erotic purposes.....

Phil:  Creepy, greasy, aging pervert who owns a few businesses throughout town including a bakery and convenience store.  Bisexual, sadistic, lewd.  Short, slovenly-dressed, and chubby with big bifocal glasses.

Brent:  Max's 21-year-old best friend.  Gay but in denial.  In love with Max.  Just a regular guy with a regular build.  Enjoys watching sports and drinking beer.

Jeff:  Gangly 20-year-old gay guy who works at Fantasy Point.  Geeky-cute skateboarder with punky, dyed hair.
